Why Exclusive Beats Leases Every Time

Leased beats might look attractive at first because of the lower price, but they come with tradeoffs. Many producers lease the same beat to dozens of artists and later resell it as “exclusive.” I personally find that disingenuous because a beat is either non-exclusive or exclusive. Can’t be both. Beat leases (non-exclusives) serve a purpose at the beginning of the journey. But eventually, every serious artist reaches a point where they either 1) learn to make their own beats (which is what I did) or 2) partner with a music producer who can deliver exclusive material.
I’m the one you can partner with. I could’ve gone the beat lease route, selling the same track to as many people as possible, but the artist in me won’t allow it. That’s why when you get a track from me, you get the exclusive rights to record, release, and perform to it—no one else will ever use it for their song. This is why exclusive beats leases every time.
